Welcome to my blog where I will keep you up to date with what is going on throughout the baking world. First of all let's get started with the type of equipment which I am currently using. Well as you can see, I am definitely using a mixer which is not something to shout about rather I just go with the most basic of the Kenwood series model available. Baking is all about passion rather than relying on high tech equipments to get things done. Heck even with just a mixing bowl and a wooden spoon is more than enough to get the job done but a mixer does get it done faster.
The MX-270 is perhaps the cheapest of all the Kenwood series mixer. It may lack the power and oomph to mix larger batches of dough or batter but I do find it more than adequate to get the job done comfortably for home usage. What I like most about it is its almost stealth like noise level. Compared with my old Kenwood Major Series mixer, this one is so quiet you can bake beyond the wee hours of the morning without worrying about disturbing any souls out there. I strongly recommend it to anyone who is not a professional baker for its ease of usage and value for money nature.
